How they met

How did we get here?

Steve grew up in the local area but Sian, who is originally from Somerset, moved to Hitchin in 1999. We met through work about 8 or 9 years ago but it wasn't until the summer of 2004 that we first got together. As the months went on we grew closer and decided to live together.

Over time we've moved from renting a small one bed flat, to a larger two bed until finally buying out own place in few years ago. Thanks to the help of our friends and family we now have a lovely home where we are very happy. In late 2008 Steve finally popped the question...

The Proposal

The Proposal

	Sian left for Heathrow Airport early one Friday morning bound for Boston (USA) for a girly shopping trip, leaving Steve at home for the week - or so she thought! Unknown to Sian, Steve got on a flight to Boston the very next day and with Alyson's help was planning to surprise her at a meal that evening.

	After checking in to his hotel, Steve called Sian's cousin Huw and wife Penny (who were also in on the plan) and met them in central Boston. Shortly after a text was received from Alyson saying that Sian and their group had just taken their seats at a restaurant - McCormick and Schmick's (they too were in on it). Huw and Penny went into the restaurant and were seated at a table next to Sian's (but she didn't think anything of it!) and a few moments later Steve walked into the restaurant and in front of everyone got down on one knee and asked Sian to marry him.
	After a couple of days in Boston a delighted Steve returned home leaving a shocked and surprised Sian to carry on shopping. They were reunited again a few days later at Heathrow Airport. Thanks Alyson, Graham, Huw, Penny and everyone else that helped or knew about it but kept it quiet!

Sian has arranged to go to London for her Hen Party 6th – 8th August 2010.
A weekend including a flight on the London Eye, cocktail making, dinner at Tiger Tiger and Tea at the Ritz!
